Nathan - My First Look

When we got out of the car, all we could see of the canyon were two lines. The next few minutes of unpacking kept me from investigating farther. When we were all done we rushed to the edge (not too quickly) and just feasted our eyes. We had recently been to the Napali coast in Hawaii, and had been thinking that they would be much the same (size wise). I was dead wrong. Each step I took I thought I would see the bottom of the canyon. But, instead, I only saw more canyon wall. It was only at the edge that I could see the bottom. The opposite rim was so far away that it looked like a picture. The whole thing was just perfect.
